Take a few deep breaths and think of something you are grateful for. Keep doing this until you begin to feel a sense of peace coming into your being. Do whatever it takes during the day to bring yourself back to this state!

Sleep is also very important. Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, and rest during the day if you need to as well. Listen to your body and practice sweet self-care whenever you need to rest. These are strange times and it is so important to take care of your mental, emotional, and physical body.

If you are feeling super anxious and have a lot of energy, move your body.

Next up is fresh turmeric, a powerful anti-inflammatory, also supports the liver and kidneys in removing toxins. Garlic, which helps to purify the blood and lower blood pressure, oranges for Vitamin C (and taste), cayenne pepper to help remove toxins, boost metabolism and aid in digestion.

Immunity Juice from the Yoga Girl® Kitchen

Makes about 2 very potent servings

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 cloves of garlic, peeled
  • 3-4 oranges, peeled
  • 1 3-inch hunk of ginger, peeled
  • 1 3-inch hunk of turmeric, peeled
  • 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups of filtered water

Process:

  1. Take all of the ingredients and blend on high for 1 minute.
  2. Strain, and serve!

You can also use a juicer if you like, but since the ingredients are so small it is a bit easier to use a blender and then pour the mixture through a strainer and drink.

Note: The juice has not the most appetizing flavor, (we will not lie!), but just do your best to chug and enjoy the immediate effects of a strengthened immune system!
