In June, I completed another yoga teacher training. The training was held at the studio that introduced me to my very first practice. Going through this program felt a little “full circle” for me. I feel an attachment to this place, even before signing up for their teacher training.

I’m away for the weekend leading a retreat. It’s all women. My favorite. I’m laying here in the dark next to my son. I don’t have my hearing aids in so I can’t hear a thing except my tinnitus. The shushing in my head never ceases. The ringing. It’s water rushing, it’s a never ending reminder of something I’ll never remember, an inchoate ear that got stuck, perhaps as it was forming.
Why We Need To Be Strong (And Throw Some Arrows)
Weakness and frailty make consistent appearances in my thoughts and reality. On a personal front, my 77 year old father is literally running out of air as emphysema closes down his lung function. Globally, our world faces tremendous challenges in all realms, especially political and environmental.
