What really makes this jam stand out is the addition of the tiny protein, fiber and omega-3 packed chia seeds.

Chia seeds were first discovered in Central and South America by the ancient civilizations of the Aztecs and Mayans.

They used the chia seed in many forms, the most popular being ground into powder, mixed with water or pressed for oil.

The high levels of omega-3’s, protein and fiber make the chia seed slow to digest, and therefore a constant source of energy for a long period of time. The Mayans and the Aztecs honored the chia seed so much that they made offerings of chia to the gods.

This amazing little seed also sprouts when it absorbs water, creating a pudding like consistency, and when added into Rachel’s Blueberry Jam it provides a thickening agent as well as an important health component!

Don't forget that blueberries are also super high in antioxidants, making this a totally guilt-free indulgent jam.
