Take a Seat

Do you work in an office or spend much of the day seated? This quick, yet effective seated chair yoga practice with Bee will help to lower stress, increase your energy and focus, and help to get the blood flowing into stagnant muscles, making the day ahead much more manageable!

Begin by moving through a forward folding, hip opening, and twisting sequence, release tension in the upper back with Eagle (Garudasana) arms and cycles of Cat/Cow (Marjaryasana/Bitilasana), then gently mobilize and stretch out the neck. Continue by flowing through a seated variation of Sun Salutation A (Surya Namaskar A) to gather a bit of heat in the body, then cool back down with gentle hamstring stretches and wrist circles. Finish with a brief moment of connection before returning to your day feeling rejuvenated, centered, and empowered.

For this class, you will need a chair. Optionally, you can add a blanket or small pillow on the chair, as well as 2 blocks (for the feet/hands) for extra length and support.
