Join Rachel for a slower flow that will help you to drop into the present, find your footing, feel grounded in the body, and listen to what it truly needs as you continue moving forward and taking action on your personal growth journey. Rachel will start by sharing on the class's theme, leading a guided meditation, and pulling an oracle card for insight and inspiration while you move on your mat.

You'll then begin by lying down to ground and create some space in the hips, hamstrings, and spine with Happy Baby Pose (Ananda Balasana) and reclined twists, then awaken the fire within with some mindful core activation in Low Boat Pose (Ardha Navasana). Transition to seated to open up the side body, shoulders, and neck, then cycle through a few rounds of Cat/Cow (Marjaryasana/Bitilasana) to prepare to flow. Open up the hamstrings and uncover emotions stored in the hips with lunges, Lizard Pose (Utthan Pristhasana), Pyramid Pose (Parsvottanasana), Double Pigeon/Firelog Pose (Agnistambhasana), and Half Pigeon Pose (Ardha Kapotasana). Continue to follow the breath as you allow yourself to deeply settle and integrate with a supported Legs Up The Wall Pose (Viparita Karani) and Savasana.

Truly listening and showing up for others and ourselves is so important as we navigate the troubles and inequaties of the world. This practice is all about getting quiet so that you can truly listen to the messages of the heart. Remember to take care of yourself, keep your cup full, and take notice of any triggers you may have so you can continue to move toward growth, balance, and peace for yourself and the world around you.

For this class, you will need a wall or a block (or a homemade substitute) for Legs Up The Wall Pose. Also, a blanket and 2 blocks are optional for additional support and length throughout the rest of class.

Journaling Prompts:

After class, take a moment to listen to whatever has come up from this practice then journal on:

"What is a new way I can make a change today?"

"To make this change and truly show up, I need to let go of..."

The physical practice begins at 24:10.

Oracle card deck is The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit by Kim Krans.
