Ebb and Flow with the Full Moon favorite_border
Grab your crystals, gems, and sacred objects to create a sacred space, then brew yourself a cup of tea, gather your journal, and roll out your mat for this special ceremony class to honor the full moon.
Begin by calling in the Four Directions (East, South, West, North) and settling into the present moment with a guided meditation. You'll then listen to the message of the oracle card for practice, before doing some stream-of-consciousness journaling on the parts of your life you're ready to move on from.
Next, you'll ground and invite some movement into the body by tuning into the gentle, feminine, Yin vibes of Mother Moon. Gently open up the hips and spine with Happy Baby Pose (Ananda Balasana) and reclined twists, then transition to tabletop to stretch out the wrists and massage the forearms. Continue with a modifed Hero Pose (Virasana) with toes tucked to stretch out the soles of the feet, then settle into a healing Garland/Squat Pose (Malasana) for the hips. Continue to flow with soothing Moon Salutations (Chandra Namaskar) featuring side bends, Goddess Pose (Utkata Konasana), Triangle Pose (Trikonasana), Pyramid Pose (Parsvottanasana), Low Lunge (Anjaneyasana), and Side Squat Pose (Skandasana).
Slow things back down and continue to let go of anything not serving you as you shed the last layers of whatever is holding you back. Come lying down to the floor for feel-good shoulder and chest stretches, then get deep into the hips for major emotional purging in Frog Pose (Mandukasana). Stretch out the legs a bit with seated forward folds, then eventually make your way to a restful Savasana. Close your ceremony with a moment of journaling on gratitude then continue your journaling while under the light of the full moon.
For this ceremony class, you will need your journal and a pen. Optionally, you can bring along a cup of tea, your sacred items (crystals, candles, gems, photos of loved ones, etc.), a small bowl of water, and something to burn or diffuse (palo santo, essential oils, sage, cedar, etc.). For props, a blanket and 1-2 blocks are optional for additional length and support.
