Yoga for Depression

Depression is a very real issue that affects many people. In this practice, you will learn to reconnect with your true nature and physical body, to help you feel your way through stuck emotions. Move your body through your feelings and laugh your way through this flow.

Begin on your back and find a new mantra to work with that will rewire your brain to a higher frequency, then congratulate yourself for getting on your mat! Move through Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) and continuously work with your mantra as you breathe, flow, and let go. Cycle through empowering Warrior (Virabhadrasana) poses and an invigorating standing sequence before settling into Half Pigeon Pose (Ardha Kapotasana) for deep hip opening release. Class ends with a seated meditation to choose happiness and honor yourself before settling into Savasana.


For this class, a blanket and 1-2 blocks are optional for additional support.
