The Four Directions

Join Ashley for a sweetly meditative and healing practice that will leave you feeling grounded, expanded, and presently calm; a blissful way to start the day!

Begin standing to bring awareness to the present moment, then slowly flow to connect to the grounding energy of the earth, and to gently warm up spine and heart space. Ashley then guides you through a powerfully expansive Vinyasa sequence that includes Warrior (Virabhadrasana) variations, Extended Triangle Pose (Utthita Trikonasana), Vasisthasana (Side Plank), and feel-good side body opening. Take optional opportunities for the fun arm balance, Flying Splits Pose (Eka Pada Koundinyasana II), the heart-opening Wild Thing (Camatkarasana), and inversion practice with handstand hops for a bit more of a challenge, or rest in alternative options given if that is what your body wants today; it's your practice, so you decide!

This class also offers a special few minutes to intuitively flow on your own while listening to two beautiful songs by Shylah Ray. As you continue to move through this flow you will find the pace of your own breath, and with it, openness, compassion and strength. Slow things down and rest as you transition into the hip-opening Half Pigeon Pose (Ardha Kapotasana), with option to try King Pigeon Pose (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana I) as well, and finally, Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Fold). Class closes with a musical Savasana meditation designed to empower you, bringing peace, harmony, and love into your heart.

For this class, we recommend having two blocks and a strap (or homemade substitutes) available for additional length and support.
