Ocean Flow
favorite_border

Join Rachel on the calm blue waters of Bonaire for a fun ocean-inspired practice that will allow you to open up tight spaces so that you can move and flow like water.

Begin by setting your intention and mimicing the sounds of the ocean with a wave-like movement of breath (Ujjayi Pranayama) as you anchor into the present moment. Lengthen the spine and hamstrings with Forward Fold (Uttanasana), then fire up the core with Plank Pose (Utthita Chaturanga Dandasana). Transition through Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana), Cobra (Bhujangasana), and rounds of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) to continue warming up, then settle a bit in the hips with Lizard Pose (Utthan Pristhasana). Flow through watery poses like Dolphin Pose (Ardha Pincha Mayurasana), Mermaid Pose (Naginyasana), and Half Boat Pose (Ardha Navasana), then rest in Bound Angle Pose (Baddha Konasana). Close this short practice with Turtle Pose (Kurmasana) for the legs, Fish Pose (Matsyasana) for the heart, and finally Corpse Pose (Savasana) for deep, blissful rest.

This feel-good practice is full of fluidity and playfulness that will give you the opportunity to both salute the sun and surrender to the sea!
