Releasing Resentment and Finding Forgiveness favorite_border
Move, breathe, expand, and release for "extra space" and Day 31 of our 30 Days of Space Yoga Girl® community challenge.
Rachel begins by sharing about today's theme of forgiveness and how it's more of an act for personal self-care than it is about letting others that have caused you pain get off the hook. Ground into the body with meditation in preparation for the day's inspirational oracle cards, then take that energy with you as you step on your mat for practice.
You'll begin lying down to ground and receive some feel-good stretches in the side body, hips, and spine. Make your way up to move through a few rounds of Cat/Cow (Marjaryasana/Bitilasana), then challenge the core and balance a bit with Balancing Table (Dandayamana Bharmanasana) and Modified Side Plank (Vasisthasana). Continue by moving through rounds of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) with lunge and Half Monkey/Splits Pose (Ardha Hanumanasana) sequences sprinkled in to create energy and space in the hamstrings and hip flexors. Take a moment in Boat Pose (Navasana) before slowing it down a bit with Half Pigeon Pose (Ardha Kapotasana), seated twists, a gentle heart opener, Happy Baby Pose (Ananda Balasana), and most importantly Savasana.
For this class, a blanket, strap, and two blocks are optional for additonal length and support.
