Fly Your Arm Balances

In this strong, dynamic class you will focus on preparing the body to play with arm balances!

Take the first few moments to settle into the body, tune into the breath, and cultivate presence. Begin by moving slowly, taking the time to open and warm up the wrists, spine, hamstrings, and shoulders before moving through Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) and core activation in preparation to fly. You will then move through a strong standing sequence to play with handstand hops, Crow Pose (Bakasana), Bird of Paradise (Svarga Dvijasana), and Half Moon Pose (Ardha Chandrasana), with options to fly your arm balances woven throughout the flow. Take some big twists to release and reset the spine, then play with Side Crow (Parsva Bakasana). Use this class to advance your asana practice and learn to fly your arm balances!

For this class, a blanket, a strap, and 1-2 blocks are optional for additional support.
