[00:34] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily and happy Monday! I am so excited to be sharing this week's intention with you all. I really feel like we're all in a similar kind of energetic space right now. I don't know about you, but I really have had a past couple of weeks where I haven't been listening to my body very well. And I think this is totally normal, we are going to flow from place to place in our lives, we're going to go through cycles where we are very much in tune, where we're super present with ourselves. Also, when we have more time and more space to actually tune into what we need. And then we have other cycles in our lives where we're just really busy or really overwhelmed or perhaps going through something challenging that makes it extra hard to look at how you're really doing. Of course, it also depends on the level of support that we have in our lives. It is a hard thing to do to practice self-care if we are all alone or if we're feeling all alone. So, remembering that self-care is a privilege.
[01:40] I would love for us all to set a really, really heartfelt intention this week. Not just to take great care of ourselves all the time, but to give ourselves space to pause and listen. So, here's our intention: This week I will tune in to what I truly need. This week I will tune into what I truly need. And what does that look like in a practical scenario? So any time throughout the day when you find yourself unconsciously going about a certain task or perhaps when you find yourself triggered by something or feeling anxious, feeling frustrated, feeling fearful, worried, angry, any kind of unsettled feeling in your body, instead of soldiering through or instead of reaching for that bag of chips or instead of, you know, whatever kind of regular day to day reaction, you have to feeling not great, take that as an opportunity to just close your eyes and take three deep breaths.
[02:40] That's, it doesn't take any time at all. So instead of diving into those triggers or just letting that unsettled feeling of frustration lead you through the day, give yourself space to pause and remember, Hey, there is something that I need right now. Every moment of real frustration or agitation is a sign that you have a need that hasn't been met in your life. Perhaps you've been feeling overwhelmed and what you need really just is a break. Maybe you've been feeling a lot of other people's energy and you need a little bit more alone time. Perhaps you're tired and you need rest, or more sleep. Maybe you're feeling sluggish because you've been eating really shitty food and you need to just to have a little reset and nourish your body with nourishing foods. Taking that moment, just to tune in, what do I truly need in this moment? And then acting on that.
[03:32] Perhaps the answer to that question isn't something that you give yourself, but a hard conversation that you have to have. Perhaps it's getting real about a scenario that you're in. Something needs to be changed. Maybe you need to walk away from something or perhaps sometimes we just need to let something go. So, this week I will tune into what I truly need. That means that this week is going to be an extra present week for all of us. A week to be extra conscious, extra nourishing, giving ourselves an extra moment of attention a couple of times a day so that we can be really present, not just with our bodies but with our hearts as well. You deserve to live a kind of life where you give yourself what you need every single day so that at the end of this week, you feel happy, balanced, and at peace with where you are. This week, I will tune into what I truly need. I am really excited to give myself this extra attention this week. Let's see if it brings about some much needed change. I love you so much.
