[00:40] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily and happy Monday! It is the first day of the week, we have a blank slate ahead, a new chapter ahead. I almost crack up when I say that because that's normally what I say at the beginning of every week for every Monday episode. However, right now, I don't know about you, but I am not feeling that clear division between a work week and a weekend anymore. You know, being in lockdown it's like every day is just another day. So I think it's important that we stay connected with the fact that Monday is still Monday, right? Friday when Friday comes in, the weekend begins. It's still going to be the weekend. And today just because we have a brand new week ahead, I really want us to set an intention that we can come back to everyday throughout this week. And I have chosen a theme or a topic for our intention for the week from a really personal place and I'm hoping or feeling that probably a lot of you listening right now are in need of the same thing.

[01:38] We have all had such an erratic couple of weeks. It’s such a wild and crazy time and we are really ping ponging between, you know, feeling total despair and fear and then all of a sudden feeling grateful and like we're moving slowly and it's beautiful and delicious to be home with the family. And then all of a sudden it's too much and we can't take it and Oh my God, what is happening? It's really so intense. Everything we're feeling right now, we are feeling at a thousand-fold.

[02:11] So I want to set an intention for us this week that really reminds us that the most important thing that we can do right now is to calm down, to stay calm, to ground ourselves into the present moment, to really anchor into whatever practices help us find peace of mind and calm. And that we remember to do that every single day. So, our intention this week is this: This week, I will make peace of mind a priority. This week, I will make peace of mind a priority. And we can interpret this in so many different ways, right? For me right now, I've had a few things come my way lately that have on top of this whole pandemic, you know, shook my world or shaken my world a little bit. And I find myself that when I set an intention to not let random things disturb my peace of mind, but just the intention to anchor into peace of mine and to look for ways to feel and find that peace of mind every day, it's actually easier for me to find.

[03:13] So it helps me not spin off into crazy land whenever crazy things happen, right? So I can still feel my feet on the earth. So this week, I will make peace of mind a priority. What does that mean for you? Are you right now feeling involved in some tricky situation that involves a lot of drama or gossip or something that you know just isn't taking you anywhere constructive? Are you finding yourself in a challenge or a problem you're trying to solve right now that's just keeping you up at night? You know, are you finding yourself engaging in activities throughout the day that bring about more stress or that have you feeling a little spacey? Like you're not grounding in those things every day? What does this mean for you and how can you make sure that you anchor into practices every day that help give you that feeling of your feet being steady on the ground?

[04:07] I know for me this means prioritizing my meditation practice this week. So my physical yoga practice, it comes very natural to me. For me, I need discipline when it comes to sitting down in silence every day. But when I do it, I can't compare it to anything else. It helps ground me so much. It really, really can turn a whole day around. And for you, maybe it's movement, right? Moving the body, brings you peace and brings you calm and helps clear out an air out anything that's in the way or anything that's clouding your mind right now. So make this really, of course, individual. This is your practice. Your life. Make peace of mind a priority. And whenever you encounter a situation this week where you can feel that you're losing that piece of mind, give yourself that moment to remember this intention. Anchor into the present moment and then decide, Hey, do I want to go down this road? Is it worth it or is there another action I can take right now just so I can stay calm and stay grounded? I think we all need some peace of mind this week, so I'm definitely, definitely going to make this a priority. Wishing you a beautifully calm and centered week ahead. Yoga Girl Daily will be back tomorrow.
