[00:48] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily, happy Monday, and welcome to our intention setting practice of this week. I hope you've had a good weekend. I hope you're feeling grounded and ready for a brand-new week ahead. This week I want us to set an intention around kindness. We have definitely had weeks on Yoga Girl Daily podcasts before where we have focused on kindness, loving kindness, loving awareness, being of service to other people. And this week I would love for us all to take a moment to actually take some inventory of our own lives. We all have certain areas of our lives, where we are sort of coming up against some rougher edges, right? We know which areas of our lives we feel easily triggered in. Usually those are going to be the same areas as where we are challenged right now. And oftentimes, especially if it's an area of our lives where we feel challenged or where we're going through something really difficult, we tend to get a little bit agitated around this space.
[01:47] We might even be a little bit impatient. We might find ourselves acting in ways to hurry up the process or out of frustration that actually doesn't align with that inner compassionate side that we all have. So, instead of just focusing on being kind overall, I want to take a moment this week to actually contemplate where can I be kinder, or where can I be more kind right now? And so identify those areas of your life where you could actually bring about more kindness right now, we have to actually sit down and contemplate a little bit. Where am I not super kind? Do I have a certain relationship in my life where I find myself being a little bit snappy or a little bit short toward that person? Or is there a whole area of my life where I find myself feeling stressed or pressured and anything that connects to that actually makes it harder for me to tap into that inner compassionate place, right? So where can I bring about more kindness? And can I really set a genuine intention this week to approach every person I meet from a place of absolute compassion? How can I be a little bit kinder toward every person I meet, in every situation I encounter, in every challenge that comes my way. And most importantly, can I be kinder to myself?
[03:23] So, our intention this week is this, “This week, I will look for new ways to be kind.” This week, I will look for new ways to be kind. And if you want, right now, you can take a moment just to kind of contemplate the week ahead, probably by now you know what kind of week you're anticipating. If you have a busy week, if you have some space this week, if you're feeling worried this week or calm this week, where are you at now? And then contemplate this week ahead, what would it be like to wake up every morning and put kindness front and center, especially when it comes to interacting with those people that sometimes makes it harder for us to be kind, right? We all know that hurt people, hurt people. So, especially if you have a certain relationship where you find yourself triggered or where you have to actually dig a little bit deeper inside of yourself to connect to that compassionate part of who you are. Set that intention there, right?
[04:23] Focus extra energy, so you can bring about a little more love, a little more kindness because those people are generally the ones who need it the most. So, what would it be like to just approach this entire week from a perspective of kindness, of softening into that place inside of our hearts, where we know we all belong in this world together, where we know that we're in this together and whatever challenges I'm going through, someone else is going through as well. We never know what kind of battle the other person we're meeting is actually going through. So, this week I will look for new ways to be kind. Wake up every morning, take a deep breath, and then connect back to that intention. Hopefully at the end of this week, we will all feel just a little more compassionate and hopefully more peace inside of our hearts as well, because we know there is a direct correlation to our ability to be kind to other people and the level of peace and happiness that we're going to feel inside of ourselves.
