[00:46] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily, happy Thursday, and welcome to our gratitude Thursday episode of this week. So, it's Thankful Thursday today, and I have a perfect gratitude practice for all of you right now. I just finished a sharing circle with some of our yoga teacher training graduates and just seeing these women's faces from all over the world, we have such strong bonds. The moment I saw their faces, I started crying. I just love and adore them so much. And that is what has inspired this gratitude practice today. Today, I want you to take a moment, sit down and send some gratitude to one of your dearest girlfriends. So, a sister or a girlfriend, a woman you have in your life that you are just so unbelievably grateful for. Take a moment right now and just close your eyes, feel into the heart, take a deep breath.
[01:54] And then noticing who immediately comes to mind. If you have to pick just one person right now to really think that you're really, really grateful for, a girlfriend of yours, a woman in your life, who do you pick? Who is that person that right away comes to mind? Perhaps it's someone whose presence you sometimes takes for granted, right? We all have those girlfriends in our lives that are just kind of always there, have always been there, and sometimes we just need to zoom out a little bit and imagine what would our lives be without them, right. To make sure we're not taking them for granted, but showering them with that gratitude every single day, or maybe for you the person that came to mind is someone that has done something beautiful for you lately. Someone who's been a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, someone there to help guide the wave throughout the challenging time.
[02:44] Just take a moment and really contemplate who this person is in your life right now, and then visualizing them right next to you in this moment, holding their presence, their energy in your heart and from your heart to theirs, even though, you know, they're probably far away from your right now, even if they are on the other side of the literal earth, imagine a direct line of communication between your heart center and theirs, and then embody the gratitude you feel for them in this moment. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You can repeat it out loud. If you're alone right now and you feel like you can really shout it out, get loud with it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Whisper it. Or just speak it inside of yourself and then let that gratitude be embodied in your entire body. Let it fill you up from fingers all the way out into the toes and then take a deep grateful breath, open the mouth and let it out.
[04:03] As you blink your eyes open, I want to leave you with a little action item today, of course. So, take a moment at some point today, to reach out to this girlfriend of yours, this sister of yours, just to tell them just how much you appreciate their presence in your life. You don't even have to get into too much detail, right? We don't have to even say because you did this or because you're here in this way that's why I'm grateful. Just their mere presence in your life is enough for you to be able to express that gratitude directly to them. So just a little love note, or pick up the phone and give them a call just to say, Hey, I love and appreciate you so much. I'm so thankful you're in my life. Just saying those words make me smile so big. Imagine receiving that text. Imagine receiving that phone call. Wow. We all just need a little bit more love and gratitude in our lives right now.
