[00:49] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily and happy Wednesday, you guys! It's Wellbeing Wednesday today, which means it's time for us to sit down and meditate. Now the more you have this practice of, in the middle of busy day dropping into a place of meditation, even if it's just five minutes, the more you do it, the easier it's going to become. Just like your yoga practice, we need to have that habit of closing our eyes and sitting in silence every single day. So just five minutes can go a really long way, but please know that you can return to these episodes whenever you need them or just that practice of on your own closing your eyes to feel what's moving within.
[01:38] So closing your eyes and whenever you feel ready, beginning to direct your awareness inward. And I find especially if we're moving from some intensity in our day and then we come to a pause and we drop into this place of feeling, we might need a little bit of a transition to get there. So noticing right now the level of energy that you have already moving through your body, already moving through your heart. Perhaps you've been very immersed in doing today. Maybe you've been solving some problems or there’s been something on your mind and knowing that whatever is going on in your life right now, whatever is happening in your current life situation - in this exact moment, so right here listening to these words, there's nothing that needs to be fixed.
[02:34] So regardless of what you have going on in your life right here, just as you are with your eyes closed feeling into the body in this moment, there's nothing that you need to do anymore. There's nothing that you need to fix. There's no problem that needs to be solved, but all you have do right now is to stay where you are, to continue listening to my voice and to feel into the body, noticing the breath, inhale the exhale as it comes and go. Feel the beating of your heart. If you become very quiet and very present, you might even be able to listen to and hear the sound of your heart beating.
[03:30] And sometimes the more we practice just being here, the easier it becomes to find the answers that we're looking for or to find the solutions that perhaps are already present in there and especially if we’re pondering something important, we might be very caught up in the mind and we want to think our way to a solution, but there is something absolutely beautiful about feeling into where we are right now. Trusting that there is something larger than just us at play and that we have this innate wisdom inside of us that doesn't just come from the mind, it doesn't just come from thinking, but that perhaps in this moment you don't have to do anything at all. Perhaps in this moment your heart already knows what it wants. Your heart already knows what to do. Spending the next minute or so feeling into that place inside of your heart center, trusting that you don't have to have all the answers in this moment. Trusting that you can just let yourself be where you are, that it's safe for you to stay right here, to breathe, to be in the body, allowing your next breath to be drawn a little bit deeper down toward the bottom of the belly, and letting that breath rise all the way into your chest, into your heart space, and then exhale everything out. Let's take one more full breath.
[05:36] Well, when you feel ready, you can just very gently flutter the eyes open. And at any point throughout the rest of the day, if you find yourself pondering something or trying to fix or solve something, give yourself this little reminder to close your eyes and take a really deep breath.
