[00:04] Welcome back to Yoga Girl Daily, happy Thursday, and welcome to our gratitude practice of the week! It's Thankful Thursday, but every day of course is a great day for gratitude. Today I want to take a moment to focus our gratitude around the changing season. And I feel like I'm really giving myself a little treat right now because normally where I live, I can't do that. I live in Aruba. We have the same weather all year round, pretty much. And I really miss the changing of the seasons. You know, that transition from summer to fall, fall to winter. It's so beautiful to experience that change. So, wherever you are, there's always going to be some kind of change in weather, even if you live close to the equator and things are fairly the same all year round, like where I am. And right now I'm looking out my window and it's raining for, I think the 15th or 16th day in a row, which for me really feels like a huge change of season.
[01:09] So, wherever you are, if you take a moment right now, just to look out your window, if you can. Just take a moment to take in what the weather is like today. What is mother earth bringing you these days? So, maybe you're in this transition right now from fall to winter, which is such a beautiful time. Maybe it's getting chillier every single day. Perhaps you've experienced those big shifts in color, all around outside, change in the leaves. Maybe things really are very, very cold already. Perhaps you've experienced some snow, or maybe right now the sun is shining outside your window and it's still really warm outside, but just wherever you are right now, acknowledge what mother earth has brought you today and acknowledging in gratitude the beauty of this season, the beauty of this experience, that nature is bringing you right now, especially if you're in transition.
[02:13] There's something so beautiful to be found in each season and something really special about each season, too. So, take a moment just to hold in your heart right now, the thing you love the most about this season, the thing you love the most about this transition that we're in right now. And hold some gratitude for our beautiful earth in your heart for this amazing weather. And then when I say amazing weather, I mean the amazing weather of rain, the amazing weather of things getting cold, or maybe darker every day, the beauty of change. Take a moment just notice how everyday mother earth teaches us about change, about transition, about embracing the new and letting go of the old, about the cycles of life. You know, that there is that constant in terms of change all around us. And we see it out in nature with the changing seasons every single day. So, taking a deep breath in with gratitude for this season, with gratitude for nature, with gratitude for our planet as a whole. Open the mouth and let it out.
[03:35] Repeating to yourself just a couple of times, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. If there's something you can do today, just to really anchor into the gratitude you're feeling for this season right now, then do that. I know for me this season, particularly right now, and I'm a little bit early on this, I know for a lot of people right now, we are entering Thanksgiving time. I have already begun with Christmas. So, take a moment today to anchor into a practice or something that brings you even more of that grateful feeling of this particular season. I am going to go into my shed today and grab my Christmas box and begin decorating. And I feel really excited about that and grateful that we're getting a little bit closer to Christmas every day. But wherever you are finding some kind of action, just to really embody that gratitude for our changing seasons today. Thank you so much for listening. I hope you have a beautiful rest of the day.
