[00:49] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily and happy Thursday, everyone! I am feeling really grateful right now, just that I have the ability to record this podcast every single week. I am grateful that you're listening. I just feel like it's important for me to share some gratitude from my heart, especially on Thankful Thursday. Today for our gratitude practice, I have something pretty specific in mind. I don't know about you, but I sometimes have a really hard time bringing gratitude into my presence on social media, especially on weeks or days where I feel like I'm getting a lot of comments that may be are a little bit judgmental, or I find myself scrolling kind of mindlessly through stuff that actually I don't care that much about. Or sometimes even find myself following along with people who don't even make me feel good.
[01:49] And with time that social media presence or the time I spend online just makes me feel kind of blah. You know? It doesn't make me feel good. So today I want us to bring some gratitude into that presence that we have in the online world or some gratitude into our social media space. Meaning you're going to write a post today that you're going to share on the social media platform that you spend the most time where you absolutely pour some gratitude out in to the world. So you'll pull up your phone, open the app of that social media platforms. And for me, it's Instagram. For you, maybe it's something else and start writing. What are you grateful for in this moment? What are you grateful for today? And see how many things, or how you can verbalize it, because you have kind of a limited space to share.
[02:42] Because in social media posts, we can't share endlessly, right? So how can you really pack a punch into that caption and speak that gratitude out loud and then share it with the world on social media and you can literally write about whatever rings true to you today. I actually think that sharing a little bit of gratitude online everyday probably would turn some of our social media platforms around. Whenever I catch anybody else sharing something that they're grateful for, it automatically allows me to drop into a place and go, Oh wait, well what am I grateful for? Hmm. It's a beautiful thing to read and listen to other people sharing their gratitude because it reminds us of our own gratitude practice and it reminds us of all the things and the beautiful blessings that we have in our lives to be grateful for. So hopefully today, if we all share some gratitude through social media, we can start a little wave and a little ripple effect of having more and more people share their gratitude and then speak that gratitude out loud, especially on social media and in the world that maybe I think is lacking a little bit of that heart-centered, beautiful, thankful space.
[03:49] So I can't wait to see some of your gratitude posts. I hope I'll be able to see them on Instagram, on Facebook, on Twitter, Snapchat, whatever you got. Go for it today. And how about at the end of that gratitude post, you urge your own friends and followers to share their own gratitude through that social media platform as well. So let's create a little social media wave of gratitude today. What are you grateful for? Ready, set, and go. Go ahead and share and post. If you tag #yogagirldaily, I'll be able to share and connect and maybe share through my platform some of this gratitude as well. I love you so much. I'm so thankful for you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I hope you have a beautiful day today and that you're able to feel this gratitude all day long. Yoga Girl Daily will be back tomorrow.
