Tune in to take the leap - your life is waiting for you.

[00:46] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily and happy Monday! It is a brand new week right now and of course our Mondays are the day to set our intention for the week. I have something in mind for all of us today, and it's something that I've been pondering a lot over the past couple of weeks. I have been noticing, so I have had many epiphanies and realizations about myself as I'm sure you have over the past, you know, months of Corona time. And one of the big things that I've really realized is just how much baggage I have been lugging around in my life. And I mean this in an energetic way, in an emotional way, and also in a physical way. Like, I look around my house, just the room where I'm sitting right now, where did all this stuff come from? There's a huge amount of stuff, of things, that I have accumulated that actually a lot of it I, I don't even use it, you know, it doesn't even really serve me anymore.

[01:47] And when I look inside of myself, I can recognize the many ideas and beliefs I've had about myself, about who I am, the kind of person I'm supposed to be, what's important in life. And I'm realizing that actually it's just a lot of heavy weight. Like it's not even true and I'm just lugging this around and it's holding me back. So I have been pondering this for the past couple of weeks. I feel like I'm onto something like I'm on an important track in life right now. And then last week I taught a live class on yogagirl.com and we pulled a card the way we do before every class and the class, and the card that I pulled was goodbye to the old and hello to the new. And it resonated so much with me and with everyone who was, who was participating in taking this class. I really think we are on the verge of this big global realization right now and to actually make space for the new amazing experiences that we're looking to invite into our lives collectively and individually, we have to let go of the old, right? We have to clear out some space. That is exactly what I want us all to focus on this week. That is exactly what I want our intention to be centered around this week.

[03:06] So our intention for the week, and you can write this down, you know, put it on your fridge, put it on your bathroom mirror, keep it in your phone somewhere. You can return to it again and again. Our intention this week is: This week I will make space for the new by letting go of the old. This week I will make space for the new by letting go of the old. And take a moment not just to ponder a little bit, contemplate how does this resonate with you, where you are in this moment. I will make space for the new by letting go of the old. What area of your life are you lugging old heavy baggage around? And of course, that baggage can be metaphorical, right? It's something that like ideas that you're clinging to, maybe old relationships that aren't serving you anymore, but you're still holding on because change is hard, right?

[03:58] It could be actual physical things. Maybe this week is a really good week to do some spring cleaning to actually look at your living space with fresh eyes, you know, see the opportunity of what you could create and have your space reflect what you are becoming instead of what you have been. This week I will make space for the new by letting go of the old. I think we should all just go on a collective spring cleaning in our houses, yes. Maybe take a moment to think about spring cleaning for the body, like what does your body need right now to feel really good and light? And then of course most importantly, a spring cleaning for the soul. What are those judgments, those worries, those fears that you're lugging around that aren't serving you? Where are you losing precious time and energy every day that could be spent on manifesting and creating the things you actually want, that reflect who you are becoming the person you are growing into right now?

[04:54] Because I think for a lot of us, we are in this place of change and this new chapter that you're beginning now isn't going to be exactly the same as what you left behind prior to this pandemic. There's a new version of you emerging out of this, so how can you make sure that every area of your life has space for that? This week I will make space for the new by letting go of the old. I think it's a perfect intention for all of us. I'm going to have this week's classes on yogagirl.com reflect this intention as well. And we actually have a couple of classes that I'm doing this week that are really centered around intention setting as well. So as you come back to your practice, if it's yoga, meditation, if you have something else that you do, you run, you dance, you garden, whatever your thing is that makes you feel grounded, come back to this intention and really contemplate how you can make more space for the good things in your life. Thank you so much for setting this intention with me, with all of us today. Yoga Girl Daily will be back tomorrow.
