[00:04] Welcome back to Yoga Girl Daily! Happy, happy, happy Friday. It's Friday today, end of the week. The weekend is nigh. I hope you're feeling great that you've had a good week and that you're ready for the weekend ahead. Today for our feel-good practice, we're going to do something super fun. I want you to find a new form of movement this weekend, or today, that you have never tried before and give it a go. I'm talking about that kind of exercise or that way, or form of exercise or workout that you just don't normally go for. Maybe it's something that's just a little bit out of your comfort zone, or maybe you're like me and you're in this box where you have decided here is how I enjoy moving my body, and I don't want to do anything else. For me that is yoga.

[00:51] Like that's what I do. I dance. I like to shake. And then once in a blue moon, I'll go for a run. Like those are the four things that I do for movement. I'm not going to go beyond that. I'm not going to, you know, like tell me to go to CrossFit. No, no, no, no, no. You know, Zumba is a big thing where I live. Like I would never go for that. That's just, that's just not my thing. Right. I have really decided that this is what I like, and I'm really set in my ways and chances are you are too. So, this weekend, I want you to find a totally brand-new workout and give it a go. So, something that you would normally never do. The cool thing about COVID-19 and all the things happening right now is that we have so many online workouts available to us.

[01:35] So, it's actually a good way to ease into a place of discomfort right now, as you can try a really weird workout that you don't want to be seen trying out, right? You don't have to go to like a group class, unless you can, then of course, by all means do it. But you can try something totally different and weird from the comfort of your own home. So, how about this weekend you give that Zumba class a try if you've never done that. If you've never practiced yoga, like this is your chance. You're listening to this podcast, now is a great way to try. I looked some of this stuff up online, there is something called backwards running. I don't know if it's safe, but it's a weird workout you can try. How about a Pogo stick workout? I also read about that. Maybe you can go paddle boarding.

[02:19] You go take a spin class. You go boxing, you try kickboxing or Muay Thai, or you try something totally different that you've never ever, ever done before. For me, what I am really a hesitant to try, but that I'm committing to do over the weekend is to go take that Zumba class. There's something about Zumba that just makes me feel like, man, I have no rhythm. I have no coordination. I'm Swedish. I don't know how to dance. How am I going to combine dancing with some form of workout? It's just a way out of my comfort zone. I'm going to try it this weekend for the first time. Who knows, it might just be my new favorite thing. I hope you find a new form of movement. So, it doesn't have to be weird. It doesn't have to be as weird as backwards running or Pogo stick workout.

[03:03] You can Google that. It's a real thing. But try something out. Maybe it's something that's been on your radar for a while or something a friend invited you to do, and you went, nah, that's not for me. This is the weekend you go and you just do that thing, right? I hope you have fun moving your body in different ways. Just remember that all movement is good movement. Anyway, you move your body is a good thing. And actually it's great for the body to experience different ways to move, right? So, not just that regular boxed-in thing that you do, but exploring new muscle groups, exploring new ways to move your spine, exploring new mindsets when it comes to movement, go and have fun with it. Get out of your comfort zone and enjoy. And the cool thing is if you really don't like it, then you can come right back into your comfort zone after this workout is done and that's okay, too. Have a fun time moving your body in a brand-new way this weekend, enjoy! Yoga Girl Daily will be back on Monday.
