About the Episode

It is really important that we make our own decisions, but more so that we are confident in them!

The more time we spend doubting ourselves or looking for an answer outside of ourselves, the more time we spend out of alignment with our authentic souls.

Our heart always knows the answer; sometimes the practice is sitting in silence and reflecting on what that is.

Today’s Make It Happen Monday will reaffirm that you’ve got this!

[00:04] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily and happy Monday, everyone! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend and that you feel ready to create something truly amazing for this week ahead. Today its Make It Happen Monday and I have another affirmation for us to really anchor into throughout this week. I don't know about you, but I've had a couple of weeks where I have had a little bit of a harder time than usual to make clear decisions. I'm a Libra, I'm a little bit indecisive in my nature as I am, but the past couple of weeks especially, I feel like there's been a lot going on and a lot of people around me as well feeling this sort of, a little bit of a challenging energy. Maybe there's something in the air right now. But I wanted to use that to create an affirmation for this week's episode that really allows us to trust in ourselves, especially when it comes to making solid decisions that propel us forward.

[01:02] So our affirmation for this week is: I trust in my ability to make good decisions. I trust in my ability to make good decisions. Take a moment to see how that resonates in your body. You can speak that out loud or silently just repeat that to yourself. I trust in my ability to make good decisions. How does that feel? What does that resonate like in your body? Sometimes when I drop into an affirmation, I immediately get a little bit emotional. Just saying that to myself, if that evokes any kind of emotion, usually it means that I've been craving it. That maybe I have spent a lot of time doubting myself these past couple of weeks and I haven't known, am I making the right decision? Am I not? Maybe I've been looking outside of myself and asking for help and answers everywhere else when actually already I know what to do.

[01:55] So if this resonates with you, I trust in my ability to make good decisions. Just feel in your heart, what does it feel like to speak that out loud? Perhaps you have spent a lot of time and energy looking everywhere else for the right answers, or turning to other people for important things or deciding where to go or what the next step is in your life, where perhaps all you need is a little bit more of that confidence, a little bit more of that trust that actually you already know what to do. And it's really true. And I think what we need to do is give ourselves a little bit more space to just sit in silence. Perhaps to reflect on those big picture decisions that we are making every day and doing it on our own without being so quick to immediately vent or to immediately ask around.

[02:40] But taking a moment, first of all, to close our eyes, place our hands to our heart and just feel, what's the next step in this moment? What's the right answer here? Somewhere deep inside of your heart, you already know where you want to go. And of course there are moments where we want to ask for help and ask for advice, but I think it's a good practice to have to really trust that we are the ones who know where we want to go in life. And the more we affirm that to ourselves, that we trust in our own ability to make good choices, to make good decisions, to choose where to go next. We have that power. It's a very empowering affirmation and hopefully it will give us a little bit more of an anchor or a little bit more of, I guess a sense of navigation as we move through this week.

[03:23] So this week, anytime you find yourself at any kind of crossroads and if you find yourself with some sort of challenge or a problem or something that you feel like you're pondering a lot, maybe you're in the middle of a big challenge right now. You don't know what to do. Carve out some space to sit with this affirmation, meditate on this, repeat it to yourself, write it out on post-it notes, place it all over your house and your car, wherever you go, and come back to that again and again. I trust in my ability to make good decisions. Because truth is you've got this, you already know you've got this, you know what to do. Thank you so much for tuning in with this very special affirmation for this week. I'm getting a little goosebumpy just now. I just felt like this is a really good affirmation for all of us. I would love to see how you're applying this in your day-to-day life. So if you want to share something online, use the hashtag #yogagirldaily, and we can all take part in each other's affirmations as well. Yoga Girl Daily will be back tomorrow.
