[00:40] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily! Happy Thursday, you guys. It's Thankful Thursday today, and I think right now these specifically challenging weeks that we are all moving through, we need a gratitude practice more than ever. Of course, it is a challenging thing to stay really grateful when we're moving through difficult times, but it's during the hard times that we need to remind ourselves of the blessings that we have in our lives more than ever. If we focus only on the fear, only on the worries, only on the hard things, it feels like those things become magnified and suddenly they start to almost fill up every inch of our lives. And the moment we shift our awareness away from the challenging things and toward the things that actually are working, toward the blessings that we have, toward the love that's present in our lives, then those things begin to magnify and it feels like we have more blessings in our life already.
[01:05] So this practice today really is about shifting our perspective a little bit. We're going to stay realistic and stay well informed of course, it's not about, you know, a gratitude practice is not about burying your head in the sand, pretending like everything is fine when it isn't. It's just inviting more space into your life for the things that are good, so we can focus on the good and continue creating good things even during these hard times. So very simple, very important practice today. What are you grateful for, right now, in this challenging time of your life? What are you grateful for right now during these times of uncertainty? What are you grateful for right now during this time of struggle? Right now? Just wherever your awareness goes immediately in this moment. What are you grateful for? And look for the truth of that gratitude.
[02:39] It can be something small. It could be something huge. Looking for that little silver lining, a blessing that's already present in your life. For me personally, I've been really practicing gratitude these days and something that's hitting me very hard is just the gratitude I feel for having some form of abundance in my life. This crisis that we're all in, of course, is hitting the people who were already struggling before this, hitting them the hardest. So the fact that right now, me and my family, we were able to stock up on some necessities, the fact that we have a beautiful home to stay isolated in, the fact that we are in a place right now where the sun is shining, we can still go outside. Just our privileged circumstance right now I'm not taking that for granted, but I'm really counting my blessings every day. Just man, I feel grateful for actually having that advantage because it is a huge advantage and it also allows me a little bit of space to do what I can to help the people who are not as privileged as me right now, to look around in my own community and see who is in need, who can I support, who needs help?
[03:53] So, grateful to be in that place of abundance in this moment. What about you? What are you the most grateful for right now? And of course, this gratitude practice will change and shift a little bit every day, as it should. Maybe it's your family, right? Of course, a big, big source of gratitude in each of our lives, the fact that you're moving through this and you're not alone. Yeah. Maybe you're grateful for your resilience, your creativity. You're taking this challenging time and you're creating something out of it and maybe you're innovating. See what you're grateful for right now. It could be something as simple as your health. Are we not all so grateful for our health, those of us who are healthy right now? Let this gratitude really become the focus of all of your awareness and then seeing this in your mind's eye, feeling this in your heart.
[04:48] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for the blessings that I already have. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for the blessings that are in my life. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you. Thank you.
[05:10] And then stay with that vibration of gratitude all throughout this day. And whenever you have a hard moment or a particularly challenging day, anchor deeper into this gratitude. It's absolutely crucial that you do. Focus on the good and stay with the good at the center of your view, right? So we can still acknowledge the challenges that are here, but there is so much to be grateful for in the world. Thank you for practicing gratitude with me today and every day. Yoga Girl Daily will be back tomorrow.
