How to Heal Every Heart: Believe in Love Then Speak in Love

The energy in words is powerful. What words do you use when the going gets tough? Do you fill the cracks with peace, or pain? Do you believe you have the power to heal by speaking words of love?

Did you know that sounds vibrate at different frequencies? That the sounds of laughter are a higher frequency than the super low sounds of anger? And guess where love exists - in the highest frequency.

This year has been rough for our world. Sometimes it seems like every year is getting worse. How many days in a row can we go on being heartbroken? How many senseless killings will we have to endure? How many sons, daughters, fathers, mothers lost? How will we ever lift the frequency of this big, scary world?

But things have also gotten better around the world. It’s like a cocktail with all the good stuff has been lying on the bottom of the glass, but the glass is being shaken up and everything looks like chaos but it’s bringing all that goodness from the bottom back up to the surface.

Things are shaking up and light is coming through.

Because when enough is enough, things change. I believe this. I’m seeing countless people all over the world believe this, too, as they stand up and say something. To their partner, family, community or country. Where there was once suppressed silence, a rumbling of wisdom has begun to rise back up. And it is so, so beautiful.

In times of heartache, pain or the stuff of nightmares, it is important we remember the power we all hold. The power in our words and the vibrations they create.

We cannot fight hate with hate. We cannot combat fear with fear. And we can't win one war by starting another.

What we can do is pray. We can hope. We can return to love.

I’m making it a ritual every day to pray to everything I believe in for love to rise above. Please - join me. You who are reading this right now, drop everything you are doing and close your eyes and pray for love to rise above. It’s your prayer that heals the collective.

You don't need to be religious, or enlightened, or "spiritual" - you just need to believe in love and the power it gives your heart and voice.

Let your heart’s words rise up and out.

Believe that we will always have the power to rise above instead of giving up.

To unite instead of separating.

To speak up instead of remaining silent.

To love, even when all we see around us is despair and when we don't know what tomorrow may bring.

To trust, even when the media tells us not to.

I believe, so today I pray.

This goes for every part of your life that feels hard right now. Pray for your relationships, your coworkers, your community, your country, everywhere that needs more love.

If you aren’t sure what to say, start with this:

May all beings everywhere be happy and free. May the thoughts, words and the actions of my own life contribute to that happiness and to that freedom for all.

Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu

I repeat these sacred sounds every day with all of my might. May we all remember that we are not separate from one another, that we need each other, and that deep down, we can love each other with the pure force of the universe.

Wherever you are right now, know that you are loved exactly as you are. You are amazing and we couldn’t do this thing called life with you!

May we all find peace. May we all be safe. May we all be happy. May we all be free.

Believe it, feel it, speak it, know it.

Share a prayer with us in the comments below so we can say it with you and boost its vibration! And so it is.

X,

Rachel

Taking Care of Your Inner Creative Child

As artists, whether it be a writer, actor, painter, poet, we often refer to our ‘inner child’ as the source of our creative abilities. The part of ourselves that ‘arts’. That compels us to tell stories. As children, we create with unharnessed vigor.

I’m Not “Brave”, I’m Human—Stop the Body Shaming

Amy Schumer was called “brave” for her photo shoot she did in her underwear, holding a cup of coffee. Someone else looked at that same photo and likened her to Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. When you share a photo of yourself as you truly are, you’re being beautifully human. Not brave. It’s time to stop the body shaming.
