See the Signs, Find the Light—Secrets From the Universe

“The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don't go back to sleep.

You must ask for what you really want. Don't go back to sleep.

People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch.

The door is round and open. Don't go back to sleep.” - Rumi

The universe has secrets to tell you… Are you awake? Are you listening? Do you see the signs?

This I know: All the moments in your life don’t just happen. You aren’t here randomly or by mistake. You are here to change the world, and you aren’t doing it alone.

Your life is the experience of an intelligent unfolding. Every breath divine, every step sacred.

As you walk along your journey, you are constantly being guided, shown the way toward truth. The guidance may come in the form of a conversation with a stranger, a new job opportunity, a breakup, a swirl in your latté or a look in the eye of your pet… The forms are limitless.

However life sends its messages, it will keep nudging us in the right direction. It wants us to succeed in knowing peace and love. But we need to listen.

If we don’t, those little nudges will eventually turn into a big smack on the head — this is how and why we are presented with challenges in life.

It’s why we’re faced with breakups, traumas, accidents, disease, even death. Because if we didn’t listen before…we will now.

But what exactly are we listening for?

Growth. Healing. Whatever we came here to learn and how to finally move beyond the roadblocks that we keep placing in our own way. And the fastest way to learn something? Experience it firsthand. Get triggered. Know what it’s like to face discrimination, loneliness, to lose everything and still refuse to give up on humanity and your own precious life within it.

It’s in those difficult moments that we evolve, it’s where we’re tested and it’s where grow. The truth is we are here to get what we need, and that’s not always what we want.

“You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” - A.A. Milne

What are your recurring triggers? What are your takeaways after making it out the other side of a hardship or maybe even total hell? What moments have boosted your willpower to be a force of good in the world?

Identify where you must make a change, stop repeating old patterns, get out of your rut. Find your spark in life and make it your priority! And when the going gets tough don’t ever, ever give up.

Know that you really do need this, or you wouldn’t be here right now. And remember that you never walk alone.

You are worthy of a life lived in love, for love.

So walk with your eyes wide open. See the signs.

Listen to what the universe tells you. Have faith.

And take action! This is a two-way street. Co-create your destiny with life, with light.

When in doubt, fatigue or despair, remind yourself: Every experience you have is vital for the evolution of your consciousness and the collective consciousness. How do you know? Because it’s happening.

How are you evolving? What signs have you seen lately? Tell me in the comments below!

X,

Rachel

Taking Care of Your Inner Creative Child

As artists, whether it be a writer, actor, painter, poet, we often refer to our ‘inner child’ as the source of our creative abilities. The part of ourselves that ‘arts’. That compels us to tell stories. As children, we create with unharnessed vigor.

I’m Not “Brave”, I’m Human—Stop the Body Shaming

Amy Schumer was called “brave” for her photo shoot she did in her underwear, holding a cup of coffee. Someone else looked at that same photo and likened her to Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. When you share a photo of yourself as you truly are, you’re being beautifully human. Not brave. It’s time to stop the body shaming.
