Sunrise runs are getting easier. Morning sits, too. There is something so sacred about time spent in honor of my soul, and whether the practice I’m immersed in is dedicated to my body or mind or heart doesn’t matter as much as I once thought it did. My runs, however challenging, are just as sacred as my meditation practices. Cooking breakfast can be as intentional as yoga. Playing with my daughter requires just as much presence as prayer. Or actually, when I’m in my body; in my totality... play IS prayer.
Everything is prayer.
Putting on my running shoes is just the same as putting on my mala beads.
Transform routine into ritual and every day, you’ll feel a little closer to YOU - which is the same as feeling a little closer to God. There is no separation. No entity “out there” to look for. It’s all within you.
So get out on that trail. Roll out your mat. Turn on the stove. Play with your kid.
