Yoga for Self Confidence Pt. 1 favorite_border
It’s not always easy to be confident, especially when life (or someone else) tries to shut you down. You always have two choices though: to keep going or to shut down. Believe “them” (whoever they may be) or believe in yourself. Use this introspective flow with Jen's empowering insight to connect to your heart, mind, and body while reaching into confidence and self-love. Some days just getting out of bed can feel like the biggest achievement in the world, so this class can act as your support system.
Begin with a grounding meditation to set your intention, then warm up the body with a few rounds of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), and continue feeling more present in the body with lunges and strong Warrior (Virabhadrasana) poses. Embody the feeling of confidence and power as you play with handstand hops against a wall, or modify with a Standing L/Split Pose (Urdhva Prasarita Eka Padasana), then more bring attention to the lower half of the body with gentle stretches, Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose), and Double Pigeon/Firelog Pose (Agnistambhasana) before resting in Savasana.
For this class, you will need a wall. Also, two blocks (or homemade substitutes) and a blanket are optional for additional length and support.
