Yoga for Allergies favorite_border
Restorative - 14m
Teacher: Rachel Brathen
Class type: Full Body
Nothing can derail your day like a big dose of allergies, but fortunately, a cooling, calming, a restorative yoga practice can be just the thing to help alleviate many common allergy symptoms. Follow Rachel as she leads you through a simple sequence of movements and Pranayama (breathing control) you can do (even with a stuffy nose and a headache) to dial down your stress and help you breathe easy once again.
Begin your practice seated with Bhramari Pranayama (Honey Bee Breath) to help create space in the nasal cavity and clear out the sinuses, then make your way down to a lying down position for Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana), Supported Bridge Pose, and Supported Legs Up the Wall Pose (Viparita Karani). Continue with Fish Pose (Matsyasana) and gentle twists before coming back up to a seated position to complete your practice with Nadi Shodhana Pranayama (Alternate Nostril Breath).
For this class, you will need one block (or a homemade substitute).
