The voice of your inner truth is felt deep within and allows you to live as your most authentic and unapologetic self, but sometimes when truth speaks, it can be uncomfortable and not always what we want to hear. Join Rachel on a powerful Vinyasa-style exploration of the truth and inner wisdom contained in your mind, body, and spirit. Breathe into uncomfortable spaces and recognize your inner strength as you move and set your truth free.
Begin lying down for a gentle heart opener, twists, side bends, hip stretches, and core work, then transition to a tabletop position to stretch out and wake up the wrists. Close the eyes for a moment of intuitive movement, then stretch out the toes and feet before making your way to your first Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana) and Standing Forward Bend (Uttanasana).
Flow your way to a variation of Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana) to continue opening up the heart space, shoulders, and neck, then continue moving with the breath through Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar), Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I), and Humble Warrior Pose (Baddha Virabhadrasana) with shoulder and heart openers sprinkled throughout.
Challenge your balance and strength with versions of Eagle (Garudasana), Warrior III (Virabhadrasana III), and Wild Thing (Camatkarasana) before slowing it down for Half Monkey/Splits Pose (Ardha Hanumanasana), Half Pigeon Pose (Ardha Kapotasana), a variation of Reclined Bound Angle Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana), and finally, Savasana.
For this class, you will need a blanket and 2 blocks (or homemade substitutes). For additional length and support, we also recommend a strap.
