Surrender Session

It's always a perfect time to release anything that is not serving you, and this conscious emotional release session is designed to help you do just that! Follow Rachel's lead as you journal on your emotional state, set your intentions, meditate, and breathe, then give yourself space to have a big conscious emotional release before taking deep rest in Savasana.


For this practice, you will need your journal and a pen, as well as a private space or room that allows for safe and comfortable expression of emotion.

Other items you may want to include for your conscious emotional release:

  • A blindfold (to move awareness inward; move breakables out of the way though!)
  • Pillows and/or a bolster (for punching, kicking, slamming, etc.)
  • A towel (for hand squeezing/wringing)

For the full moon ceremony portion of this class, feel free to bring along a candle, crystals, incense, and whatever other sacred items you'd like.


This conscious emotional release portion of class is self-guided using music:

  • First 2 songs: get into the body, dance, feel invigoration and energy building
  • Next 3 songs: express and embody anger, rage, frustration, etc.
  • Next 3 songs: express and embody sadness, depression, grief, pain
  • Last 3-4 songs: Savasana, re-ground yourself, find calm, reconnect to the breath, the body, and the present moment

You can find the Spotify class playlist here, which you can start at the beginning of class, but be sure to turn off shuffle! When the timer starts, select the song "Hunger" by Florence + The Machine. Please note: if you are using the free version of Spotify, you will have ads interrupting the playlist.

Due to copyright restrictions, music can not be played after the LIVE session occurs. You can use the suggested Spotify playlist above (track list is provided below if premiuim Spotify is unavailable), or create your own following a "flow" with your own music that includes songs with the same or similar song length.
