[00:04] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily and happy Monday, everyone! I hope you have had a really amazing weekend that you're feeling refreshed, relaxed, rejuvenated and totally ready for this new week ahead. Today is Make It Happen Monday, which means a brand-new start and yes, a perfect time to set our intentions for the coming week. Today I want to talk about productivity. I know it's one of those words - that not everybody likes this term. The idea of productivity. For some of us it's connected to stress or to work or maybe feeling overwhelmed, but the truth is we all have really long lists of things that we have to get done every day, every week, every month. Sometimes that sheer amount of things on our plate can make us feel really overwhelmed and when we are unproductive, perhaps we spend all week long kind of dabbling in a bunch of different things, but we're not actually getting the things done that we need to have happen to move forward every week.

[01:01] That adds a ton of stress to our lives. Oh my God. Finishing the week, feeling like we still have things left over to go into over the weekend is a really, really hard feeling to sit with. So this week I want us all to commit to getting things done and clearing some actual real stuff off of our plates. Are you a procrastinator? My husband is one that drives me insane. If you are a procrastinator, this week you are not! Seriously this week, let's all commit to doing the work we have to do at the time it needs to get done. Just by the sheer fact of knowing that it's going to give us more space, more freedom, more time leftover in our day that we can actually spend with our friends, with our families, practicing yoga, doing something that lifts us up, sitting around at a Starbucks, drinking coffee, like literally anything you want to do.

[01:51] There'll be time left over in your day if you can be a little bit more productive in a way that doesn't bring you any stress. So without saving anything for tomorrow, without avoiding the hard stuff and without letting things add up to a point that we feel overwhelmed, we're going to set an intention that goes like this this week. I will get things done by dot, dot, dot and you finished a sentence this week. “I will get things done by…”. What does that look like for you to get super productive this week? So to clear everything off of your, to do list, to finish that project, to move forward with ease and make sure you don't leave anything hanging over the weekend. What do you specifically need to anchor into? Here's a couple of examples. So do you, for instance, are you a multitasker? Do you tend to multitask to the point that you have so many things going on at the same time and then you end up with a bunch of half-finished things?

[02:46] I am sometimes very guilty of that. A good intention for a person that multitasks a lot could be this week. I will get things done by doing one thing at a time. I commit to saying 100% with my task this week and by not taking on too much at the same time or does your work week feels so overwhelming? You literally don't even know where to start. Well, how about this intention for you this week? I will get things done by prioritizing, by getting really clear on what's most important and urgent and tackling those things first. I can structure my week and avoid feeling pressured or do you often get distracted maybe and you lose focus then how about this intention? This week I will get things done by staying focused, by keeping my eye on the ball and steering away from distractions. I will get the job done faster for me.

[03:39] Last week I literally felt like the week does ran away from me. I felt like I was running in different directions all the time, almost every day. So for me this week I will get things done by slowing down. Rushing through my day doesn't actually make me any more productive and I know that by slowing down I can do the work I need to do without adding any stress to my life. How about you? How are you going to be getting things done this week? Let's set our intentions right now. Share them on social media. You can tag Yoga Girl Daily. We can all stay connected all week long. Let's get some things done this week. Happy Monday, everyone! Thanks for listening to Yoga Girl Daily and I'll see you tomorrow.
