[00:53] Welcome to Yoga Girl Daily and happy Tuesday, everyone! It’s Tune-In Tuesday today, which means it's time for us to self-reflect, to inquire within, and hopefully to grow and learn a little bit more about ourselves. For today's topic, we are going to focus on something that is uniquely beautiful about who you are. Many of us, we have this kind of day-to-day practice of automatically putting ourselves down all the time and for some of us we do this and it's a little bit unconscious. We might not even be aware of the fact that we have this negative voice or inner critical voice in the back of our heads that's constantly judging everything we do or telling us that we could do some things better or we could be more beautiful or more intelligent or more successful and regardless of how hard we work, it's just never ever good enough. Well, what if instead of that inner critical voice, we had an inner best friend talking to us all day long. What if instead of that negative thought pattern, that voice that tells us we aren't good enough, we had a little voice in the back of our head that was our best friend and greatest cheerleader of all time telling us how amazing we are. I mean, how different would life be? It really, really would.
[02:13] So today's topic is this: “One of my greatest qualities is…”, and then you're going to fill in the blank. “One of my greatest qualities is…”. Let's take a moment and just reflect on that. So if you want, you can close your eyes, you can place your hands to your heart for a moment. One of my greatest qualities is… What is one of your greatest qualities? What is that thing that's so uniquely amazing about who you are or about what you do? So, see what kind of energy immediately is evoked inside of you just by reflecting on that. If you have that very negative or inner critical voice, if it's very loud and you tend to put yourself down a lot or judge yourself very harshly, a practice like this could actually be really, really challenging. It might feel very uncomfortable or foreign to think about something that's amazing about who you are. If you have a practice of doing this all the time, maybe immediately you connect with something, “Oh, I can pick between a hundred things that make me truly amazing and I have so many great qualities!”, but without judging either or as good or bad, just reflect on or notice inside of yourself what it feels like to inquire around this and then let's move a little bit deeper. So let's take a full breath in and out.
[03:38] One of my greatest qualities is… What is that quality that you have that is so exceptionally special about you? Perhaps you are an amazing listener. Maybe you are a truly great friend, always showing up for other people whenever they need you. Perhaps you're a great leader, maybe you're super creative, you're amazing at creating things from scratch. Maybe you are really strong and resilient and there's nothing the universe could throw your way that you can't manage. What is one of your greatest qualities? Now, perhaps this is a quality that you get complimented on all the time. Maybe it's a quality that other people take for granted. Perhaps it's something that you're showing up with consistently, but people are actually not appreciating enough about you. Perhaps it's a quality that you have that you are not appreciating enough about you. So, one of my greatest qualities is… Once you have connected to that, and it can be one of the first things that pops into your head.
[04:37] I want you to go a little bit deeper and share on this topic. So, finding a friend or someone in your family or a stranger, if you like sharing with someone, what is one of your greatest qualities? How did that quality come about? Has it been something that you've always led with in your life? Is it something that was always there or was that quality developed through something special that came your way? Sharing on what that great quality is. If you want to share it through social media, go ahead and do that. Be your own greatest cheerleader. Share it online, share it with a friend, or if you want, you can just journal about it on your own as well.
