Partner Code of Conduct

Applies to all Corporate Sustainability team members*, business partners, vendors, suppliers and the teams they work with.

We choose partners who:

We are firmly committed to maintaining and supporting partner workplaces that are at all times is free from harassment and discrimination, where co-workers are respected and provided an appropriate environment that encourages good performance and conduct.

Anti-Discrimination and Harassment

At Yoga Girl®, all team members, including employees and contractors, and all our partners have equal value. Yoga Girl is committed to providing a work environment that is free of inappropriate behavior of all kinds, discrimination and harassment on account of gender, gender identity or expression, race, national or ethnic origin, religion, age, caste, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law. We are committed to providing and working with environments that are free of bullying and intimidation on any basis. No person/team member shall be subject to any discrimination in contract work or employment, including hiring, compensation, advancement, discipline, termination or retirement, or harassment on the basis of gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political opinion, social group or ethnic origin. Every team member shall be treated with respect and dignity. No team member shall be subject to any physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.

Workforce

Contract and working hours: All employees and contractors must have written contracts specifying the terms of their engagement. No one may be forced to work more than the specified regular and overtime of the law in the country in which they are employed. Employees shall be compensated for overtime hours to the statutory level. All employees and contractors shall have clear contracts and understanding of expectations, and have copies of our full Code of Conduct. Forced labor: Forced or exploited labor is strictly prohibited

Child Labor

It is strictly forbidden to use children or minors for the minimum working time determined by local law or fifteen (15) years, whichever is greater, as labor. Employees under eighteen (18) years should not be engaged in dangerous or heavy work or at night shift.

Freedom to Join a Union

Workers' rights to join and negotiate collectively in accordance with the laws of the country in which they are employed shall be recognized and respected.

Salaries and benefits: As a primary principle, employees should earn a living wage. If this is not possible, employees should be paid at least the minimum total salary required by national law, including remuneration and benefits. They should also be entitled to a periodic vacation with salary. All employees regardless of shall be entitled to equal pay for equal work. Health and Safety: Working environments must be safe and healthy. Appropriate measures to prevent accidents and health hazards should be taken by minimizing the causes of hazards associated with the work environment and by providing appropriate training and tools to personnel. *Yoga Girl partners should be in keeping with best practices of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The environmental aspect of CSR is defined as the duty to cover the environmental implications of the company's operations, products and facilities; eliminate waste and emissions; maximize the efficiency and productivity of its resources; and minimize practices that might adversely affect the health of the environment, and allow for enjoyment of natural resources by future generations.

Environment

Activities that minimize environmental impact should be encouraged and maximum caution is taken with environmentally harmful substances or processes. The best environmental solutions should always be sought.

Energy and Water Consumption

Measures should be taken to reduce energy consumption. When procuring energy, priority can be given to energy from renewable sources. Measures should be taken to recycle or reuse water and in some other way minimize water consumption.

Transportation

Transportation and travel with the least environmental impact should be chosen. Efforts should be made to continuously reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such as fossil carbon dioxide.

Waste Disposal

The amount of waste should be minimized and should as much as possible be recycled or sent to recycling or modern waste facilities (including landfills) with as little environmental impact as possible.

Chemicals and Hazardous Substances

Minimal use of hazardous chemicals and substances should be ensured. When using such chemicals or substances, safe and proper handling and disposal.


Best Ethical Practices

Fair Competition and Ethical Best Practices

Fair competition and open markets must be respected as this helps create a positive and healthy business. Yoga Girl® expects its partners and team members are to act in the company’s best interest at all times, avoiding conflicts of interest. Team members are expected to avoid situations in which their financial or other personal interests or dealings are, or may be, in conflict with the interests of Yoga Girl®. Business decisions are always made in the best interests of the company. If there is any risk of conflicts of interest, employees are expected to inform their manager immediately.

National and international provisions on the prevention, detection and remedying of economic crime and fraud, extortion, money laundering and other related crimes shall be monitored.

Professionalism

Partners and team members must conform their personal and professional behavior to the standards expected of persons in their positions, which includes:

A commitment to and adherence to professional standards in their work and in their interactions with Employees, Contractors, subscribers and others with whom they come in contact in the course of work for Yoga Girl

A responsibility to share information within Yoga Girl® and to give willing assistance in furthering Yoga Girl® goals and objectives

A responsibility to ensure that there is no misrepresentation of facts and immediately correcting any misunderstanding that may have occurred through unclear communications or otherwise.

Social Media

We expect that all team members* and anyone associated through business with the brand will be loyal to the company and the Yoga Girl® brand.

The following activities are not allowed:

Messages or comments that discriminate against gender, race, sexual orientation, disability or religious conviction

All forms of fraud

Malicious or false material about Yoga Girl.

We expect all team members, suppliers and manufacturers:

Read and understand our code of conduct. Ensure that both the content and the spirit of theses code of conduct guidelines are respected and acted upon.
