Certified Yoga Teacher, certified Domestic Violence Counselor Advocate, and Trauma Specialist
Liz Arch is an international yoga teacher, martial artist, author, mom, and the creator of Primal Yoga®, a dynamic fusion of yoga and martial arts focused on empowerment and self-healing.
Liz became certified as a Domestic Violence Advocate Counselor and the West Coast Director of the nonprofit organization Purple Dot Yoga Project, which uses yoga as a healing tool to support individuals impacted by domestic violence and trauma. She is a firm believer in the capacity of yoga to heal on both a physical and emotional level. Now, Liz leads trauma-informed yoga teacher trainings, workshops, and retreats around the world.
She donates her time to causes that touch her heart and is an Advisory Board member for an important cause, [A Window Between Worlds](https://awbw.org/), a national non-profit organization that uses art as a healing tool to empower and transform the lives of individuals and communities impacted by domestic violence and trauma.

Liz has a diverse background in several different martial arts styles including traditional Northern-style Kung Fu, Yang-style Tai Chi, Self-Healing Qigong, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She holds a Tai Chi Quan Certification from the Beijing Tai Chi and Kung Fu Academy located in Santa Monica, CA and has competed and medaled in local and national Kung Fu and Tai Chi competitions.
She also holds multiple yoga certifications, including a SmartFlow Yoga certification from Annie Carpenter, a Yoga Tune Up® certification from Jill Miller, and a Trauma-Informed Yoga certification from Hala Khouri and Kyra Haglund as well as being trained in Yoga Nidra and breath work for trauma release. Liz has trained celebrities, musicians and Olympic athletes, and travels the world leading teacher training programs, workshops and yoga retreats.
Today, Liz lives in Los Angeles, California, with her partner, Adam, their son, Skye, and her two rescue dogs, Nalu and Faith.
